"I Can't Take My Eyes off of You"...

Is there someone in your life you can't take your eyes off of?  What are you waiting for?

Damien Rice- The Blower's Daughter

"I can't take my eyes off of you..."

I heard this song this morning. What a beautiful song! Now after watching this video I really want to see the movie, Closer.

I love these kind of movies! It has a great cast as well.  Has anyone seen it yet?

The Lost Valentine

Last night I watched The Lost Valentine starring Betty White and Jennifer Love Hewitt. What a tear jerker! I cried buckets watching this Hallmark movie, but it was worth the tears. If you get a chance to see the movie you won't be sorry!

Have you ever waited for someone to return?

More James Dean

Today was a lazy sort of day so I felt like watching a movie. I looked on Youtube for Rebel Without a Cause but couldn't find the movie. But I did find the movie James Dean starring, James Franco. I really thought Franco did a great job portraying all of Dean's quirky personality traits. You really got a sense of how Dean was not like other actors of his day. I also liked that the movie goes deeper into his childhood experiences and his relationship with his Dad. I felt like reaching through the screen and hugging the little boy who played Dean as a child. So glad I discovered this movie today!

The Life of James Dean

I have heard several songs lately referencing James Dean; which got me thinking about the actor. I found this really fantastic film about his life. I never knew anything about James Dean other than the "bad boy" image Hollywood portrays. I have a much greater respect for him now.

Wow, he was a pretty sexy man!  Who else do you find fascinating?

East of Eden

Since I watched the biography about James Dean I really wanted to see him act. My family and I watched East of Eden last night, and now I am just smitten! He played such a great job as Cal. Hard to believe that was one of his first roles. He was a really good actor. Also hard to believe that this film is 55 years old. What a great movie!

The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club is one of my favorite movies and I have probably seen it atleast 20 times in my life. I remember one time I actually wrote down every word they said much to the chagrin of my best friend at the time. When ever I hear, Don't You Forget (about Me) I think of this movie. My favorite part was when Claire gave John Bender her earring. Who doesn't love a bad boy?

What are some of your favorite 80s movies? Did you ever fall for a bad boy?

Here's To You Mrs. Robinson...

I have always been drawn to things from decades gone by whether it be clothes, music, movies, household items, gadgets, or pictures. One particular gagdget I loved as a kid (during the late 80s/early 90s) was my friend Steve's 8-Track player that was a permanent fixture in his family's camper. Whenever I had the opportunity to visit I would beg him to play an 8-Track cartridge. My favorite song we would sing to was Mrs. Robinson by Simon & Garfunkel . Back then I didn't grasp the meaning behind the song since I hadn't seen The Graduate yet! I just liked the song and still do today!

What gadgets gone by do you fondly remember?

Twilight Saga: Eclipse Movie Trailer

I am anxiously awaiting the release of The Twilight Saga's 3rd movie Eclipse. So I was really excited when a friend sent me a link to the official movie trailer that was aired on Oprah the other day. So I wanted to share:

I really enjoyed the books in the series and really liked the first movie. I was a little disappointed with New Moon when I saw it in theaters. I thought it was a little cheesy, but it was also 12:30am in the morning when I watched the movie. So I am hoping that this movie will be a lot better. I have heard that a new director was brought on for this one.

Go Team Edward!
